Shu Pu'er "Fuyang Cha" was produced from ancient tea trees in the early 2000s. This pu'er was created by Mr. Lijiang (Chinese: 李江, pinyin: Lǐjiāng), founder of the Mr. Eighteen brand, a leading pu'er tea expert, and vice president of the Guangdong Association for the Promotion of Tea Industry. Li Jiang has been harvesting pu'er tea since the 1990s, bringing over 35 years of experience.
This pu-erh tea was developed with the support of the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou Medical University. Mr. Eighteen brand Fuyang Cha shu pu-erh has undergone extensive clinical studies confirming its unique biological value and health benefits. (The presentation and research results can be found at this link .)
Now about the tea: this pu-erh is harvested from ancient tea trees growing in Menghai County. Fermentation took place in the early 2000s, making the tea over 25 years old. When warmed by the breath, a rich, full-bodied aroma emerges, with notes of caramel, milk chocolate, and camphor. From the very first whiff, you know this tea will be truly exceptional. The flavor is very flexible and multifaceted, the body is elastic, and the infusion is rich, enveloping like butter.
The flavor is woven from a multitude of nuances, including chocolate-caramel notes, vanilla, homemade baked goods, and a camphor trail. This pu-erh leaves a powerful aftertaste, with hints of buckwheat honey, that lasts, without exaggeration, for about two hours.
Let's take the opportunity to mention the tea experience separately. This tea literally activates the natural flow of "Yang Qi" energy in the body. You feel harmony, peace, and calm. The body warms up, becomes supple, and light as a feather.
In our subjective observations, Mr. Eighteen's Fuyang Cha shu pu-erh is the most intoxicating pu-erh we've ever tasted. The tea's state is truly extraordinary. Powerful.
The power of ancient tea trees, 35 years of experience, a skillful, stylish approach and, most importantly, a colossal love for tea – these are the main tenets of the respected gentleman and our friend Li Jiang (aka Mister Eighteen).
