The aroma of dry tea leaves is spicy, with light smoky notes. When heated, the spiciness deepens, the smoky notes fade into the background, and dried fruit and mushroom notes emerge.
It withstands 8-9 steepings. The brewed tea reveals rich woody-resinous notes with a slight dried fruity undertone reminiscent of apricot. The final steeps give it a slightly roasted chestnut-like flavor. It has a lingering herbaceous-floral aroma, and a juicy, slightly sweet aftertaste with a slight citrus tartness.
The most suitable cookware for this type of tea is a thick-walled gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay; cooking over a fire is possible.
Sheng Pu'er 2015 from the Xiaguan factory is an excellent choice for everyday tea drinking. The classic taste and aroma of sheng pu'er never gets boring, and its natural energy properties remain intact, keeping the body in a balanced tone.
The effect of this tea is warming, calming and provides moderate energy.

Xiaguan Tea Factory has a history of over 70 years. It was founded in 1941 and is located in Dali, Yunnan Province, which is often called the Eastern Switzerland. Beautiful nature and favorable weather, mountains and crystal clear lakes make it possible to produce excellent quality puer. Xiaguan Tea Factory is one of the main producers of pressed tea in China. It produces over 6,000 tons of puer tea annually. Xiaguan Factory produces both Shu puer and Sheng puer. However, the most popular and recognized are Sheng puer tocha (in the form of a nest, bowl) and bingcha (in the form of a pancake).
